LoneBear is a site created by a science teacher to get students more involved with their science studies.  The media on this site is not meant to teach but to supplement what students learn in class.  The approach is to create memorable presentations to assist students in retention of vocabulary and understanding of concepts.
 
Biolo-G and other characters on the LoneBear site are parodies.  The presentations are theatre.  Artistic expression is often used in theatre and is intended to get a reaction.  If you find something distasteful or edgy—GOOD!  You are probably going to remember it now.  Nobody is forced to watch the content on the LoneBear site.  Nobody has ever been hurt by a LoneBear presentation but many students have used LoneBear content to achieve greater retention of concepts for standards based testing.  If you do not care for the presentations, do not watch.  Remember, LoneBear is created to help students achieve academic success and is FREE.
